Walks

Walks

Strolling along the ridge on Abelin’s walk soothes body and soul. Sitting on a bench you may listen to the sound of murmuring water and bird song.

Explore the area and get acquainted with Norrviken’s tiniest friends. Along the forest path you will find out which birds thrive there, in what way bats and hedgehogs are useful and how to build your own insect hotel.

Our animals

Our animals

The plants are not the only ones making this garden attractive. You may get to know our handsome peacocks and colourful koi fish. The great crested newt, a rare and protected species, is more reserved and can only be spotted by visitors with very keen eyesight. Behind Villa Abelin our grand beehives are placed and The small garden accommodates our happy free-range hens.

Bird habitats

Bird habitats

The birdlife of Norrviken is remarkable – all year round. Two years ago we began a “birdhouse project” with the aim of making more birds live, nest and return to Norrviken. This in order to remedy the shortage of trees suitable for nesting in the forest and the park. So far we have put up 100 birdhouses.
