A Taste of Norrviken

"We love food, we treat the ingredients with care, we enjoy bold flavors, and we don't complicate things unnecessarily, although we do like to experiment, primarily with slightly unusual combinations. We often head out to the garden or kitchen garden to pick flowers and leaves to enhance our dishes."

- Calle Örtendal, Head Chef, Orangeriet Restaurant

Food is an important part of the experience at Norrviken – a place where history, nature, and flavors come together. In Villa Abelin, once the home of Rudolf Abel, you’ll find both Orangeriet restaurant and Salamander Café & bar. Orangeriet, with its generous glass panels, blurs the boundary between indoors and outdoors, offering a seasonal à la carte menu where each dish is carefully selected to reflect the character of the place. On the Italian terrace, you can enjoy your meal with a view of the Japanese Garden. At Salamander Café & Bar, fresh baked goods and carefully chosen treats await, providing the perfect break in the garden’s greenery.

Beyond the park, the culinary journey continues. RAVINEN Culture Center offers well-prepared dishes in its bistro, where proud food artisans create meals with care and creativity, inspired by seasonal ingredients. At Chocolaterian, chocolate takes center stage – here, you’ll find delicate pralines, freshly baked goods, and lighter lunches in a relaxed atmosphere.
